German government: Drop Internet Explorer
By Percy Cabello
The German Federal Office for Information Security (Bundesamt für Sicherheit in der Informationstechnik) has issued a recommendation to citizens and businesses to switch to another web browser, at least until a recently discovered vulnerability in Internet Explorer 6, 7, and 8 gets patched by Microsoft.
The vulnerability could have been exploited by hackers who attacked Google servers in China last week, according to a McAfee report, which in turn prompted Google to consider quitting the Chinese market.
