LastTab combines best of tab switching approaches

By Percy Cabello

Last Tab is a cool Firefox extension developed by Timothy Humphrey, that proposes a hybrid approach to tab switching combining tab previews and the classic tab list, as well as a new behavior for Ctrl + Tab keyboard shortcut that toggles between the current and previously visited tab instead of the usual tab pagination.

The window also allows mouse interaction to select a tab and you can customize mostly everything shown in the tab switching window and even deactivate the Ctrl + Tab behavior.

I find the tab window styling doesn’t fit very well with the Firefox/OS theme, and would also like to have a close button for each tab in the list, otherwise this is a very nice extension you may want to try.

Try LastTab at Mozilla Add-ons.

Yea, I use that extension. The authors says the visual design is based on the program Task Swith XP.

I’ve tried it on Firefox 3.0.11 and recent 3.5 nightlies with no problems.
