Power Firefox users, find tabs fast
If having two or three dozens of tabs in your Firefox tab bar is common for you, so is frantic left and right scrolling looking for that specific tab.
Tabhunter, a Firefox extension developed by Eric Promislow, brings some relief with the ability to quickly search tab titles for the one you need. Click on the status bar icon or press the customizable hotkey to open a small search dialog. Enter some keywords and select the result that fits to quickly switch to that tab as the dialog disappears.
For some reason the default Ctrl + Alt + T hotkey didn’t work on my Vista Business install, but changing it to simple F12 did.
I also found it manages to be more noticeable than it should with an unremovable status bar icon and Tools menu item. But with tab search currently out of Firefox 3.1 feature set (it was planned at some point to be available from the awesome bar and/or the tab preview panel), this will ease tab handling for a while.
Tabhunter is available at Mozilla Add-ons.

I have tons of tabs, but I don’t think I need this. Ubiquity’s tab command works great for me.
