Impact Mozilla finalists announced
Out of more than 300 entries for Impact Mozilla, a contest where participants propose creative ways to improve Firefox retention rate (the number of users who keep using it after 30 days of the first run), Mozilla Marketing has chosen and announced the 10 finalists (individuals or teams).
They are: Jeremy Glassenberg, Bruno Fleurquin, Luke Baxter, Alex Polvi, Phani Kumar V and Uttam B, Andrew Stein; Roberto Michelassi, Elena Gorelik, Mischa Lumiere, Eileen Buenviaje, and Jason Williams (student team from The University of Chicago Graduate School of Business); Mohsin Afzal, Naveed Alam, Deval Delivala, and Feng Yuan Xu (student team from Haas School of Business); Pejman Pour-Moezzi, Ornwassa Siamseranee, Harvey Villarica, and Jacqueline Yuen (student team from Haas School of Business), and yours truly.
Yep. I was pleased to learn last night that my entry qualified for the next phase.
Finalists now have to prepare a more detailed proposal around basically the same points: feasibility, time line, business sense, and budget, before the December 5 deadline, when all ten proposals will go public for general voting.
