So far I am not really happy with the extension, unfortunately, it interferes with Colorful Tabs. Which is from my point of view the more important. And it also completely destroys my UI tweaks I did with Stylish. However, for people who are not running these add-ons it should be ok. It is a nice idea. Indeed!

[...] Windows with Firefox: Firefox extension AnyColor tweaks the look of Firefox on they fly, letting you choose custom colors for every pixel of the Firefox chrome. Everything from background and text color to header and footer images are customizable, meaning you can easily tweak the look of your Firefox window without so much as restarting. The extension comes loaded with several presets, like the Dark theme pictured (which, incidentally, is really easy on the eyes). AnyColor is free, currently works in Windows only. It’s also an experimental extension, so you might want to back up your profile before trying it out. If AnyColor isn’t quite for you but easy Firefox theming is, check out previously mentioned Personas. AnyColor [via Mozilla Links] [...]

Hey Percy I don't want it to seem as if I'm using your site for a soap box to stand on but I'm pretty frustrated with the whole AMO system.
AnyColor has been downloaded/installed 10,879 times, it has received 47 reviews and it is still in the Sandbox despite the fact that it was nominated to be promoted to the public side of AMO quite some time ago. I mention it here for the hopes that perhaps an AMO editor will catch this and hopefully do something about it.

This is a very cool add-on and one that I recommend.

People have been asking for an add-on that lets them customize Firefox's interface to suit there needs for a few years now (if not since the beginning) and especially for one that you don't have to restart Firefox to get a preview of or apply your theme.

For those that have less than perfect eyesight, you will appreciate that AnyColor allows you to change Firefox's font size globally (drop down menus, download and add-on manager etc).

I've had it for four months or so. It's a great way to change the theme without requiring a restart.
