Iron Man persona for Firefox

Despite my worst expectations, the Iron Man movie proved to be a very entertaining one, a good story, perhaps the best told for a comic character based movie so far, fast paced, appropriate special effects. In sum, recommended.
If you also enjoyed the movie, here’s an Iron Man persona for you. You will need Personas 1.0 alpha 1, Mozilla Labs’ Firefox extension that allows to set a background for the toolbars and the status bar.
Once installed:
- Click on the Personas icon in the status bar, and select Preferences. Press the Custom Persona Editor… button
- For the header, enter http://www.mozillalinks.org/download/personas/ironman_header.png
- For the footer, http://www.mozillalinks.org/download/personas/ironman_footer.png
- Change the font color to something suitable, like gold.
- To allow more of the background to be seen, add this line to your userChrome.css file:
#nav-bar { padding-right: 150px !important; }

I wonder if there is something wrong with my Persona plug-in but I don’t see a Preferences option. I even tried uninstalling/reinstalling, and checking for latest versions to no use. I am using version 0.9.2….

When I click on the Personas Icon in statusbar, there isn’t a “Preferences” option to select. What gives?

To all, my bad. I should have mentioned that the option to set a custom image (or even a web page) for the backgrounds is available on Personas 1.0 alpha 1, available from Mozilla Labs: http://labs.mozilla.com/2008/03/major-update-to-personas-for-firefox/

This is great! but I can’t get the status bar to work :( It also looks kind of weird with the default Vista theme (3 beta 5) but I can find away around it

Just to note the link for the footer has the wrong domain name. It’s linking to http://www.mozillalinksorg without the ‘.’
