Extend Firefox 2 winners
Extend Firefox 2, a Mozilla sponsored contest for extension developers, came to an end on December 31 and the winners were announced today:
Tony Fardon for his Minimap Sidebar Extension, an easy way to look for and save maps for addresses on several of online map services.
Massimiliano Mirra for SamePlace, an awesome Jabber-based instant messenger that features several collaborative features including a vectorial whiteboard.
Jay Meattle for Shareaholic, an extension that adds a button to submit the current page to a dozen of social bookmarking sites.
They all win a trip to a Mozilla Developer Day, a Mac Book Pro, VMware and Komodo licenses, a Safari library one year subscription and a Firefox Ogio messenger bag full of Firefox goodies.

And another parallel universe contest. What have these “judges” been smoking? Obviously the number 1 rules was to avoid all the really useful extensions like Adblock. Of course this is highly subjective but seeing how subjective it is in this contest the contest looks fairly useless.
