Personas is back (and on time for the holidays!)

Remember Personas, the cool Firefox extension that lets you change Firefox look by selecting a persona from a live list maintained on a server.

I was just wondering if it had fallen into oblivion (the personas feed has always been there but there seemed to be no activity since the initial release) when I saw a post to the Mozilla Labs’ blog announcing that it’s back as a Mozilla Labs’ project and with a few new personas just for the holidays: Snowman, Snowflakes and Reindeer.

Personas- Reindeer

The move of Personas to Mozilla Labs is part of Mozilla’s experimentation with its announced attempt to design and provide an open framework for web services.

Personas 0.9.1 is compatible with Firefox 2.0 and 3.0 nightlies and available from Mozilla Labs.
