3200 teams have submitted their proposals for Operation Firefox (OF), the latest Mozilla grassroots marketing project that is looking for 50 teams to place a giant Firefox logo sticker in 50 different places around the globe.

According to the contest rules, 50 teams have already been selected and the giant stickers are on their way for them to complete the operation.

By December 3, teams must have placed their stickers in prominent but legal locations, documented their stunt and submitted it to OF headquarters. Winners will be announced later.

So stay tuned and if you see one of them appearing somewhere near you, get your camera and drop me a note. It will be fund to follow this project as it develops.

Another contest, Extend Firefox 2 is also on its way until December 31, but I guess extension developers will take all the time they have to perfect their little creations and we won’t see any great stuff until very late December.
