there is and has been a compatability issue with FireFox/Lepoard OS/Yahoo and MAC. It will not retain my log in and will not let me keep yahoo Classic as my browser. It reopens to beta evertyime I leave Firefox and does not recognize my previous login,

whats the solution to the os x leopard and thai fonts problem. ?
i think FF 2 is for os x and FF 3 is windows. how do i get thai fonts to work ?!?

The Thai font problem does not exist with firefox 3.0b3
Replace Firefox 2.0 by Firefox 3.0 and you will be happy ever since like me :)

Using OS X 10.5.2 and Firefox 2.0.0.12, the issue is Thai fonts and several other Asian fonts that display as ??? marks. This issue does NOT exist on Safari nor does it get fixed even by manually trying every Thai font encoding option in Firefox options. This problem existed also with 10.5.1.

2.0.0.9 and Leopard issue: clicking on the dock icon for Firefox does not bring the window into focus – anyone else have this problem?

This issue is happening to me in 10.4 and 10.5. Thought it was a Firefox 2.x issue, but it is happening in 1.5 (with Leo 10.5.2) as well. Command-tab function does not work along with the dock (must right click dock to get the page to focus). Just tested Firefox with Apples Mail app and finder and it was working. Opened up Excel and it stopped!

Please provide a fix!

I’m also having problems with Thai fonts displaying correctly under OSX 10.5 (Leopard). Thai fonts are displayed correctly in Safari and Firefox displays Thai fonts OK with OSX 10.4 (Tiger).

Web pages containing Thai characters are not displayed correctly. Example: http://www.khonkaenview.com/

If this page is bookmarked, the Thai part of the title is unreadable. Thai characters are displayed correctly in the window frame title.

Firefox 2.0.0.11, Geko 20071127
Mac OSX 10.5.1

The same page is displayed correctly by Safari.
It is also displayed correctly with Firefox under Mac OSX 10.4 (Tiger)

This is really annoying! And it still keeps happening with OS X 10.5.1 and Firefox 2.0.0.11.

After installing OS X 10.5 (and updating to 10.5.1), I cannot download anything in Firefox. I even reinstalled Firefox v2.0.0.10.

I get the message “… could not be saved, because an unknown error occurred. Try saving to a different location.”

I changed the location to the Desktop, but it still insists on downloading to the new Downloads folder. I expect that is the problem. Any ideas on how to fix this. Opera works fine. I have not tried Safari (which I deleted because it did not work with many websites… which is why I have been using Firefox). Thanks!

I’ve run into a a problem with bookmarks since installing Leopard. Adding or deleting bookmarks only lasts for as long as the session. After quitting, deleted bookmarks come back and added bookmarks disappear. This may be related to the alert box I get every time I relaunch the browser – that Firefox has quit, asking me do I want to restore the session or start a new one.

I’m running the update to 2.0.0.9, installed this morning, and it hasn’t fixed this problem.
