iPhone apps in Firefox’s sidebar
So Apple told developers interested in creating applications for the iPhone to have fun with the web. As a result, there are now hundreds of applications available.
To make them more useful than just make those who paid $600 feel less sorry, Thomas McMahon better known as TwisterMC, the prolific theme author, suggests to try some of them in Firefox’s sidebar.
He lists some example like NetVibes, Facebook, digg and goMovies which are displayed with mixed results. To try them, bookmark the linked pages. Then edit them: right click on the bookmarks and select Properties, and check Load this bookmark in the sidebar.
Results are mixed, but as said, there are hundreds to try but not all are functional or practical. Have fun. As Thomas says it would be great if iPhone application developers would take into consideration the possibility of making them Firefox sidebars at the same time.
