Firefox add-ons invade Facebook: Rock Your Firefox!

Rock Your Firefox! is a Facebook application just released by Mozilla that you can install in your Facebook profile to browse, install, comment and share Firefox add-ons with your Facebook friends.

To install it, go to Rock Your Firefox, and press the Add Application button in the right side. Once added, the Rock Your Firefox application will open automatically.

You are now able to browse, search and install Firefox extensions and themes withing facebook. Fortunately add-ons are installed directly from Mozilla Add-ons so you don’t have to add facebook.com to your list of sites authorized to install add-ons which could be a security risk.

Then comes more Facebook flavor. You can also add an add-on to your favorites list or add a quick note on why that add-on rocks your Firefox. It provides an additional benefit: The next time you need to reinstall Firefox from scratch you will have all your favorite add-ons on a single place to easily install them back.

According to the FAQ, further integration is already in the works: “You’ll also be able to send add-ons as attachments in wall posts and messages very soon, so they can Rock their Firefox.”

Rock Your Firefox! will definitely make recommending Firefox to friends, relatives and strangers, a very fun task.
