I get the request to install the Thunderbird 1.5.0.12 update every day! Have been for some time now, even though I click on the install button every time. I’m on Windows Vista.

I have a version update problem. Every couple of days I get the Software Update window requesting the 1.5.0.12 install, but it appears not to work as I’m still on 1.5.0.10. I’m using Windows Vista.

I have a problem upgrading from Thunderbird 2.0.0.8 to 2.0.0.9 on Windows Vista…

I download the patch (or even the full version), close down everything, and restart Thunderbird. it tells me I am installing the upgrade… and then stops and tells me programms are still open or i do not have access privilages to install software.

I am, however, logged on as administrator! – and everything is closed.

I had the same problem (programs still open) I ran a process monitor and found that:
SKDAEMEON.EXE was holding mapiproxy.dll open. closed that, and the update installed no problem
