Still waiting for PicLens for Linux … but loving it – as soon as I tried it I went out and adapted my Gallery2 pages for use with PicLens; sadly I don’t get the benefit though as I use Ubuntu for my desktop computer. just come across Greased Lightbox though which looks to be occupying “Piclens for Linux”’s space for now …

Incidentally would it be possible to use depth to enable a parallel picture search, top layer Google Images, next layer for Flickr etc.. Maybe that would be too cluttered?

Just a quick update . . .

Since this article first posted last year, PicLens has really transformed. PicLens now sports a full-screen 3D environment where you can instantly explore and enjoy 1000s of photos and videos on websites including YouTube, Facebook, Flickr, Googe Image Search, and many more.

Obviously I don’t. You can try to install it in a new profile. If the problem is gone it could be an incompatibility with some other extension.

Did anyone else have issues with this add-on? I tried installing twice, and on each occasion it hung up Firefox when I clicked on the “play” icon…
