Firefox 2.0.0.4/1.5.0.12 updates are out
Mozilla has released Firefox 2.0.0.4 and 1.5.0.12 updates for the 2.0.x and 1.5.x branches respectively.
As usual, the updates include patches for 5 security vulnerabilities, 1 of them labeled as critical. Firefox users are strongly encouraged to update Firefox today. To do so, in the Help menu, select Check for Updates…, follow the onscreen instructions and restart Firefox.

Among the usual stability improvements, two are worth noting. First, web shortcuts are now correctly displayed using a blank document with the Firefox icon on top instead of the Firefox logo alone, which of course was confusing. Second, and as previously announced, content filtering has been extended to that requested by plugin and AJAX based applications, which will improve parental control and ad blocking extensions’ effectiveness.
This release also signals the end of support for the Firefox 1.5.x, a month later than expected. Within the next few weeks, Mozilla will start offering user of this version the upgrade to 2.0.0.4. If you are still in the 1.5.x branch you can upgrade today downloading the full install from Firefox.com.
You can read the release notes for more details.

@G.Giles -
Finding the ‘Mail’ icon’s a bit off topic, but here you go anyway:
In Fx 1.5:
Right-click on the Menu Bar or Navigation toolbar. Select Customize. Scroll down the ‘Customize Toolbar’ window until you see an icon called ‘Mail’. Drag-and-drop it onto the Navigation Toolbar. Click Done.
In Fx 2.0:
There’s no built in button, so use the Get Mail extension. After installing, you may need to put the icon onto the Navigation Toolbar in the same way as for Fx1.5.
You should know, however, that Firefox does not have a built in email client. These buttons will only launch your default email client.

For that, you can use Thunderbird, Mozilla’s email application. :)
