Reduce password mistypes

It happens all the time. You enter a password, and just when you start sweating after several tries, you realize the Caps Lock key was pressed.

Capswarning is a Firefox extensions developed by Daniel Glazman that adds a warning when you are entering a password and the capitals are locked. It will certainly save us all some time.

Capswarning

Two improvements I’d like to see: First, warnings are limited to passwords in dialog windows and not web pages where the large majority of logons happen. I would like to see it extended to web forms as well. And second, it increases the size of the dialogs which just looks ugly when no warning is being shown. I’d prefer a simple tooltip.

Let’s see how this extension evolves. I it find simple and useful enough to become a Firefox default.

You can get Capswarning now from Daniel Glazman’s Disruptive Innovations. In a near future available from Mozilla Add-ons as well.

Simple and useful feature! I think this must be included in Firefox.
