Google Talk in a Firefox sidebar
Published: March 24th, 2007
I’ve been looking for a way to do exactly this. Finally, the guys at Digital Inspirations have found a way to have the web version of Google Talk as a Firefox sidebar.
- Open the Bookmarks Manager. In the Bookmarks menu, select Organize Bookmarks…
- In the File menu select New Bookmark…
- Enter Google Talk for Name
- Enter http://talkgadget.google.com/talkgadget/client for Location.
- Now just open the created bookmark.

I want to add that you can also right click on the Bookmarks toolbar and follow the same steps, but be sure that you check “Load this bookmark in the sidebar”.
I didn’t believe this until I tried it, very cool tip.
Thanks.
