Firefox 2.0.0.3/1.5.0.11 on their way to fix regressions
Due to four regressions identified in the latest Firefox 2.0.0.2/1.5.0.10 updates released a few day ago, Mozilla is already planning very quick 2.0.0.3/1.5.0.11 releases probably next week.
The first one prevents Firefox from providing a certificate automatically when requested when more than one is available for that web site. Another is a bit more annoying: when a user has more than one saved username/password for a specific web site, selecting a username doesn’t fills up the password field. I have seen this partially as I don’t get the password for all my usernames (1 out of 3 in Google logon).
A third regression affects sites using Backbase, a set of Ajax based web user interface elements. According to the report it is seen when visiting Backbase’ homepage but I have no problem even browsing the demos.
Finally, a bug in the latest updates, prevents distributors’ to set a custom homepage because the migration wizard overwrites it. This one remains the only unsolved so far, but a code freeze is expected for tomorrow (Tuesday), and candidates on Wednesday.
According to Mozilla Developer News, 2.0.0.4/1.5.0.12 will be the next regular security/stability releases.
