February 6, 2007 - 10:00 pm

A security vulnerability has been discovered in Firefox 1.5.0.9’s way of handling access after a user allows a pop-up window. This could allow a malicious web site to open a file with harmful code in a victim’s computer and steal

The Mozilla Foundation has not confirmed or denied the report, but for best protection users should upgrade to Firefox 2.0.0.1 if they haven’t done it yet.

“…but for best protection users should upgrade to Firefox 2.0.0.2 if they haven’t done it yet.”
