Meet the new Mozilla Links
After a long day, the new face of Mozilla Links is up and right in front of you.
What’s new?
- A new base theme. This is Vertigo by Brian Gardner. I think it is as elegant and clear as I was wishing for. But it looked too serious at the beginning so I tried to relax it a bit (I am more of a serious guy anyway) with some color and minor tweaks.
- A new logo. The four colors represent Mozilla core products: Thunderbird, Firefox, Sunbird and Camino, all linked together forming a circle (I like circles). The top navigation bar remains black as a reference to the classic Mozilla web site.
- Inobtrusive advertisement. Hopefully you will find the new advertisement layout less obtrusive (and so you will feel absolutely compelled to click on).
- Related stories are now served for each article powered by Related Entries, yet another powerful WordPress plugin.
- New resources page which centralizes bookmarklets, downloadable calendars, web feed reader plugins, glossary (under construction) and all others, thanks to Subpage Listing.
Thanks to all the people who left comments, I read them all and appreciate them. Hope you all enjoy the new look. You can expect even better content to come.
There are some minor issues in my to-do list which I expect to to iron in the next few days. Internet Explorer and Opera users should have no headache now when accessing Mozilla Links however.
Please take some time to leave feedback, suggestions and your vote in the latest poll. Enjoy!

BobChao, links are coming in the next few minutes.
Cameron, that’s a test I was doing yesterday and was hoping to see it, now I do! Will remove it.
Thanks Mitch!

Wow! The finished product is so much better looking. When I stumbled into here yesterday I was wondering what happened!

Great redesign overall, but I have one suggestion:
IMHO, the main column should be in the middle, so readers don’t have to turn their heads to the left.
BTW: The blogroll extends outside the rest of the bottom nav on my 1024×768 (1021×740 available) screen.
