Upcoming Firefox releases
Firefox development continues and two important releases are approaching.
A first update for Firefox 2 should be available in the next two weeks. Firefox 2.0.0.1 is in Release Candidate status and includes about 180 bug fixes including some security patches. I’ve been using it for a couple of days now and can’t mention any significant difference or problem. Picky users like myself will be glad to get rid of the cut Contents globe icon in the Options window, though.
Firefox 3 Alpha 1 is also in Release Candidate status and expected in the next 2-3 weeks. It won’t feature any of the improvements expected for Firefox 3 like Places, the integrated bookmarks and history management interface, the Cairo graphics engine, not to mention anything from the long brainstorming list. It is mainly a renamed trunk (Firefox’s main development code) build.

I guess I should ask as to HOW and WHY in regards to “get rid of the cut Contents globe icon in the Options window.”?
