Technology Pioneer 2007Mitchell Baker, Mozilla Foundation and Mozilla Corporation CEO, announced that the World Economic Forum, an international non-profit founded to improve the state of the world, has selected the Mozilla Corporation as one of 47 Technology Pioneers for year 2007.

These “were nominated by the world’s leading venture capital and technology companies. The final selection from 225 nominees was made by a panel of leading technology experts appointed by the World Economic Forum. In addition, it must demonstrate visionary leadership, show the signs of being a long-standing market leader – and its technology must be proven.”, reads the announcement at the WEF’s web site.

As a technology pioneer, Mozilla will participate in the WEF’s activities including the annual meeting which gathers business and government leaders around the world.
