Firefox 2 Release Candidate 1 is out

By Percy Cabello

Mozilla has just released the first release candidate of what will become Firefox 2. As expected there are no notable enhancements feature-wise here compared to Beta 2, but a lot of work has gone behind the scenes. No doubt the main change is to some button icons and colors as part of the visual refresh that started with Beta 2.

According to our latest poll, preferences for the new Winstripe theme are tied among those who like it and those who don't.

As a release candidate, you can feel pretty safe to try this version now but consider that it definitely still has bugs. A new release candidate is already scheduled for October 6.
