Download in one easy drag

Download buttonHere’s another way to download a file.

  1. If you don’t have the download button in your toolbar, in the View menu, select Toolbars/Customize…. Then drag the Downloads button to the toolbar.
  2. To download a file, just drag the link and drop it over the downloads button.

very clever, I can’t make it work . And as a result of trying I have lost my Bookmarks Button. How do i get it back.

You can also drag and drop the link inside the Downloads window to start a download.

I personally find it easier to Alt-click the link.
It also bypasses the “Save as…” box, but without all that dragging and dropping (and without an extra button on the tool bar).
