
PCF, the Participatory Culture Foundation has released the final version of Miro 1.0. Miro is an open source video player that aims to provide both, a capable video player and a platform for enabling people to create and distribute their own video content.

Miro user interface is based on Mozilla technologies and is available for Windows (23 MB), Mac OS X (16 MB) and Ubuntu (with Fedora, Debian and Gentoo to follow up).
