Firefox 2.0.0.8 update available now

Mozilla has just released an update for Firefox 2. Firefox 2.0.0.8 includes patches for eight security vulnerabilities including two labeled critical, along with other 100+ stability and performance patches.

So… update now. In the Help menu, select Check for Updates… and follow the onscreen instructions. Note than some firewalls may silently block the update Firefox executable file. Check this Mozilla Knowledge Base article for instructions on how to properly set some well known firewalls.

Users planning to update to Mac OS X 10.5, should notice a few known issues on Leopard they may face next week.
