Still trying to find this myself. The biggest drawback to firefox for me.

Apparantly, from what I read, it worked in earlier versions.

I would like to start using Firefox more but I would like to have a “get mail” button on the top like in IE7 so that I can pop forward my Email from my existing Earthlink account to Outlook Express. In IE7 I can click on the Read mail button and it opens up Outlook Express and automatically receives any mail on the Earthlink server. How can I install a button on the top to do this in Firefox?

I have finally made the break from Mozilla 1.7.13 to Firefox 2.0.0.12.

I don’t want to use CTRL-M to ‘get mail’.

I want to use it to open a new mail message, as I have been doing since my old, old Netscape days.

Though I find this listed as a possibility here and there on the internet, I can’t find how to do it. (For the moment, my default mail client is still Mozilla.)

Any pointers?

This addon has ceased to funciton in the Linux environment and is worthless at this point. Breaking from Firefox by the author has created synchronization issues that the user should not have to deal with. I suggest not installing this or removing it when Firefox upgrades and it ceases to function for you. When it returns to the Firefox “stable” of addons, I’ll reconsider using it.

I am unable to open a page by following any of the links provided in order to restore the “get mail” button in Firefox 2 Tools. Thanks in advance to anyone who had he foresight to save the instructions (and sends them along…)

The “GetMail 2.5.4″ is the link you want to try first. If you have problems, then try “GetMail Plus 3.0″.

Note: These plugins will display in either English or Japanese, depending on which version of FireFox you have installed.

Is there any way to restore the mail button in Firefox? I used to push ctrl M from the Firefox browser to call up an Outlook Express mail form. Now this function has been removed. I have tried the Get Mail extension link from this page but that doesn’t give it to me. Can anyone help?
