By this time you may already know that Firefox's default theme will be updated (you can see a non-final, in the works status on previous Beta 2 review).

I actually really like the new theme I think it’s headed in the right direction to conform to the new style of web and OS applications. The glossy effects and the standout features like glowing, hovering, and all Vista like features are great and I hope they continue to get better. I think people might just like a different type of icons is why they say they don’t like it, but the bottom line is, the new visual theme is much cooler than Firefox 1.5.
Well, I’m a little undecided. Some parts I like… For instance, the new tabs I find pretty, although it is now less obvious which tab is selected. If the titles of background tabs were even more greyed out, the distinction would be easier to make.
I like the colours of the reload and stop buttons, but the green back/forward arrows are a little dull.
I love what they’ve done to the location bar and the search box – much nicer and there is much more of a solid feel to them.
BTW, am I the only one to get a huge red error message at the bottom of my options window? I’m trying to work out if it is due to an extension, or if it is Firefox that is buggy…
David – it is Tab Mixed Plus that caused that for me. There are a few threads of Mozillazine about it ( http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=447577&highlight= and http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=454871&highlight= )
The new theme is a lot better, I just have two problems with it. First of all, the go and search buttons are redundant, and a tad U G L Y. My second problem is that there is too much space between the buttons, meaning less room for the address bar and search bar. Other than those, I like it.
Don’t like it,
I think the changes should have been more agressive. Firefox 2 won’t have the ammount of new feature Fox1 introduced, and IE7 is just around the corner, I think mozilla should use all it can to get more attention.
I think the theme might look great when using the Luna theme on XP, but with the standard look, it’s just plain broken. The Go buttons and such don’t fit in at all and the tabbar seems like it’s pasted on. When switching to the Luna theme, it all comes together just fine, but I’m not gonna change my whole XP look coz of bad interface design in my browser. Make a theme that works 100% on both please!
For the most part, I think it looks good on Windows XP. There are a couple things, such as removing the go arrow button from the address bar, since I never click on it.
I absolutely hate it! Mozilla need better designers. I even hate the default theme. IE7 looks better but Fx 2.0 it much better.
I like the idea, but it is just not there yet. A user vote is the best way to go about this.

It would help if you had a link to the theme itself. If people have not seen the theme, they may not know where to check it out.
